Club's History

The Wixom-Walled Lake Lions Club was chartered in 1958. Over the past 49 years we have always tried to maintain the international motto, "WE SERVE" by serving our community, District, State and International Organization by helping those less fortunate!

Where - When we meet

 

Our meetings are held from September through June of each year starting promptly at 7 PM on the first and third Thursday of each month. We meet at the Walled Lake Big Boy restaurant, South East corner of Pontiac Trail and Maple Road in Walled LakeSuch meetings include dinner, good fellowship and productive business meetings.

 

Our objectives include:  

1.    Providing projects and activities geared to supporting community needs.
  2.    Participation in international Lions programs.
  3.    Servicing humanity independent of race, creed, nationality, religion, politics
  4.    Seek goals of unselfish service to mankind.

Some of the services we support include:  

1.    Leader Dog for the Blind

  2.    Welcome Home for the Blind
  3.    "Project Kidsight"
  4.    Michigan Eye Bank and Transplantation Center.
 

5.    Beaumont Silent Children Program

  6.    Penrickton Center for the Blind Children
