Our Wixom-Walled Lake Lions Club has a special MTI Photoscreener camera capable of pinpointing six different eye defects. Children who fail the vision screening tests will be referred to a doctor. The goal is to catch eyesight disorders before children start falling behind in school.

Why Vision Screening?
62 percent of children up to age 7 do not have eye exams
11.5 percent of students have undiagnosed or untreated vision problems
Amblyopia is the leading cause of monocular vision in the U.S.
Amblyopia (lazy eye) is preventable and is more easily treated if detected early
