WALLED LAKE PET AWARENESS DAY This event took place on Saturday, September 18, 2011 where our Lions Club had its booth. The event took place right down at Walled Lake across from the beech. Several of the Club's Lions and Lionesses worked the booth. Lioness Laurie was present along with her Leader Dog. The Club members were able to talk to several passer bys about our Club, what we do for the blind and encouraged them to consider joining us by becoming members of our Club.

WIXOM WALLED LAKE LIONS MINT CANDY DAYS Our Club was out in the street, Pontiac Trail and Maple Road intersection and in front of the Wixom Krogers Store taking donations for the Club's charity events, as Leader Dog, Blue Lake Camp and other Lions sponsored organizations. The May 3rd, 2012 meeting was held at the Leader Dog for the Blind School located in Rochester. All Wixom Walled Lake Lions/Lioness/friends were given a tour, by MS. Peggy Belmas, of the facility. Upon completion of the tour we had a nice catered in, sit down dinner before the business meeting proceeded. The Board of Directors Meeting took place before the tour at 5:30 pm. |
